Alex has worked in a variety dental practices in Wigan, Huddersfield, Halifax and Leeds.
In 2007 she decided to set up the Carnegie Dental Clinic in her home town of Bradford.
The aim being to provide a more patient focused dental experience for her patients in a clinic where prevention rates as highly as quality dental treatment.
Since Alex qualified in 1995 from Manchester, she has completed advanced practical training in restorative dentistry with Paul Tipton and ensures that the practice always uses the best performing dental materials. She has a particular interest in bruxism and the restoration of heavily worn teeth.
Alex is committed to further education for the whole team at Carnegie, keeping up to date with the latest technology and materials in the ever changing world of Dentistry. She is also a firm believer in getting to know all of her patients and making sure that she discusses with them all the dental solutions that are available to treat their particular problem.
Alex is also a qualified Aesthetic Practitioner and strongly believes that wrinkle relaxing injections and dermal fillers should only ever be provided in a highly regulated and hygienic clinical setting.
Alex has two children and enjoys pilates and walking with her family and dog in the Lake District (when it’s not raining).

Christine qualified in 2010 from The Liverpool University Dental Hospital.
Christine is qualified to offer Cfast cosmetic tooth alignment. Cfast corrects alignment issues with the top and bottom front six teeth using clear orthodontic brackets and tooth-colored nickel-titanium wires and can take as little as 6 months.
She has worked in a number of family dental practices and also completed a year as a senior house officer in the Liverpool Dental Hospital where she worked alongside numerous specialists.
Prior to joining the Carnegie Dental Team she worked in Sydney, Australia for a year and during this time enjoyed travelling around Australia and New Zealand.
Christine is committed to furthering her education and keeping up to date with the new techniques ensuring provision of the highest standards of care for her patients.
Outside work, Christine enjoys reading, travelling and going walking.

Katherine qualified in 2011 from Leeds.
She has enjoyed working in private and general practice and spent 18 months as a Senior House Officer in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Royal Derby Hospital.
Katherine is a Member of the Faculty of Dental Surgery within the Royal College of Surgeons and her clinical interests include oral surgery, endodontics and aesthetic restorative work.
She is dedicated to continuing her professional education and further developing her clinical skills, while providing high quality treatment with an empathetic, patient-centred approach.
In her free time, Katherine enjoys swing dancing, swimming and the theatre.
Gurjit Singh Pattar

Gurjit qualified from Manchester in 2017.
Since qualifying he has been working in general practice in the West Yorkshire area and is originally from Bradford.
His key interests are within preventative and restorative dentistry.
Outside of work Gurjit enjoys hiking, travelling/backpacking and watching sports.

Ruth has over 23 years of experience as a Dental Nurse and is also a fully qualified Oral Health Educator . In addition to this Ruth is qualified to take dental impressions to make bleaching trays, mouthguards and study casts.
Ruth joined the practice shortly after it opened in 2007 and as well as ensuring that we are up to date with the latest compliance with the CQC and GDC she also performs a wide variety of practice management tasks as well as training the junior nurses.
Ruth is always looking for ways that we can improve dental experience for our patients and welcomes any feedback that you might have for us on how we can improve our services.
Personal development is very important to our team and Ruth has completed ILM Level 5 Certificate in Management. She is the cross infection control and risk assessment manager for the practice.

Lydia joined our practice shortly after qualifying as a Dental Nurse at Leeds Dental Institute over six years ago.
She splits her working week between assisting in surgery, reception duties, training the junior nurses and she also performs a wide variety of practice management tasks.
Lydia ensures the practice runs smoothly and ensures all team members are up to date with their continuing professional development.
In addition to this Lydia is qualified to take impressions of patients’ mouths that are used to make bleaching trays, mouthguards and study casts. She is also qualified to apply fluoride.

Adele graduated as a Dental Hygienist/Therapist in 2008 from Leeds, with merit.
Adele is a friendly, approachable member of the team. She works with adults and children within the practice, providing both treatment and oral health education.
Adele has studied techniques to help phobic patients and has had a lot of success in helping our nervous patients overcome their fears.
She is committed to post graduate education and continues to further her knowledge and skills in order to give patients the best possible treatment and care.

Tina qualified in 2009 at the University of Leeds with a graduate diploma in dental hygiene and therapy. Since then she has spent time working in general practice treating both adults and children.
Tina enjoys working with nervous patients helping them to become comfortable with dental treatment.

Laura qualified in dental hygiene and therapy from Leeds in 2018, having been a dental nurse for 7 years previously.
Laura is passionate about promoting oral health and enjoys treating nervous patients, especially children. Treating those with periodontal disease is something which she takes great interest in and is constantly on the look out for new ways to improve her skillset.
Laura enjoys walking her dog, socialising with friends and trying out new restaurants, as a self confessed foodie.

Rebecca qualified from Bristol Dental Hospital in 2006 with a dental hygiene diploma, where she received an award for clinical excellence.
Rebecca has worked in specialist periodontist practice and has great success in motivating her patients to update their oral hygiene regimes, making sure that they get the most from their regular hygiene appointments.
In her spare time she likes to travel with her family and going to music festivals.

Teri is one of our longstanding team members and is our Lead Dental Nurse. Teri is currently working towards her Oral Health Education Certificate which also enables her to apply fluoride and to do plaque indices.

Gina likes socialising with friends, spending time with family and following her beloved Leeds United football club.
Emily is one of our newest team members and has joined us as an Apprentice Dental Nurse. She is enjoying studying towards her NVQ level 3 in Dental Nursing.
Emily had a gap year after leaving sixth form before she choose her career path in dentistry. During Emily’s gap year she worked in a local restaurant and also went travelling around Thailand with her friends.

Tracy used to be scared of visiting the dentist but since becoming a qualified dental nurse she has overcome her dental phobia and enjoys helping patients overcome their dental anxiety.
In her spare time she likes playing netball, retro games, spending time with friends and family and watching films at home and at the cinema.
Beverley has over 30 years experience as a Dental Receptionist and has a good knowledge of dentistry through her early years as a Dental Nurse, and always has a smile for everyone.
